About Us
Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as the largest medical university in the country, the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute, as a scientific and educational hub in the field of endocrinology and metabolism, and the Kahrizak Charity Foundation, as the largest institution in the field of elderly care and rehabilitation in the Middle East, considered it their mission to cooperate in establishing a Center for Elderly Health Research in order to improve the health of the elderly and solve the growing problems caused by the aging population of the country.
The Center for Elderly Health Research is a multidisciplinary center affiliated with the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, which began its activities in cooperation with the Kahrizak Charity Sanatorium in 2012, after receiving in-principle approval from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, and succeeded in obtaining final approval in 2015.
